Assistive Technology Inventory System
Being an Assistive Technology Specialist comes with a wide variety of devices and tools and no easy way to keep track of all of them. Most systems commercially available for Inventory are expensive and not set up specifically for the varying devices used by an Assistive Technology Team.
That is where this system steps in. Using the simple Google Sheets format, this series of sheets will allow you to keep track of your items/devices in one location.
As a bonus: step-by-step instructions are included for making your inventory visual in either Awesome Table or Looker Studio!

Master Sheet- One central place that houses all of your Inventory Data:

Once created, this is the only sheet you will ever need to change or modify.
Device Type Breakdown Spreadsheet- This sheet automatically populates and changes based on the data in the Master Sheet. Sorts items by Item Type, so you can easily open each tab and see exactly how many of each item you have available.
Checked Out Summary Spreadsheet- This sheet automatically populates and changes based on the data in the Master Sheet. Easily see all of your checked-out items, who has them, and what building they are in.
Repair List Spreadsheet- This sheet automatically populates and changes based on the data in the Master Sheet. See at a glance which devices are marked as needing repair, along with the notes written for each.
QR Sheet- This sheet automatically populates a QR code that links directly to the link provided in the Master Sheet. It also populates the Inventory number, so you can easily cut out the QR with the inventory number to attach to your devices. This is a great way to provide instructions or more information to the users of your devices.
Barcode Sheet- This sheet automatically populates a barcode that links directly to the asset tag number of each item in your inventory.
Awesome Table Sheet- This sheet is automatically populated and, once linked to Awesome Table's website (directions included), creates a visual table that can be linked or embedded into a website. Users can then see all inventory or choose to sort by availability, item type, or keyword.
Looker Studio (Formerly Google Data Studio) Sheet- This sheet is automatically populated and, once linked and set up in Looker Studio (directions included), creates a visual table that can be linked or embedded into a website. Users can then see all inventory or choose to sort by availability, item type, or keyword.
