Closing the Gap 2023- Low and High Tech Assistive Technology to Support Emotional Regulation

In-Person Session

Bring your device for this hands-on session and come learn how assistive technology can be used to help support students who struggle with emotional regulation. This session will focus on the ways that assistive technology can help students regulate emotions so they can form positive relationships. Examples of low and high-tech tools will be shared, with an emphasis on tools that are free and available on many of the platforms your students are already using. Extensions, apps, websites, low-tech tools, and stand-alone devices will be demonstrated so you feel confident in their features and are ready to consider them for your students. Leave this session with make-and-take fidgets and new ideas on how to support the students in your classroom who are struggling with emotional regulation!
