SLATE- Using the AT Features of Technology to Support All Students

Assistive technology is any item, piece of equipment, software program, or product system that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of persons with disabilities. This session will dive into assistive features that are available within many technologies utilized in today’s classroom and discuss ways technology and assistive technology professionals can work together to build understanding of these supports. Presenters will use popular educational technology to demonstrate examples of built-in assistive tools and show how these can be used within the classroom to create fun and engaging lessons that all students can participate in.
