Every child wakes up wanting to be successful

Our job is to make that happen with engaging and accessible lessons.

How you get yourself together to do the things you need to do, including learning

Executive Functioning deficits may look like-

  • The student who forgets to do their homework.

  • The student that never has a pencil.

  • The student whose gaze is out the window or anywhere but at the lesson.

  • The student who panics as soon as you say “time’s up!”

  • The student who can’t close their folder because of the papers shoved inside.

Each of these causes time away from the lesson.  And extreme frustration for the student and the teacher.

How can we use

students’ knowledge

of digital content?

First, we need to remember we are teachers.  This means we're skilled at providing materials in a way that allows students to learn.

Then we need to realize our students know many of the technologies we're using better than we do, or are less hesitant to learn them.

Take a deep breath and get back to teaching.  And empower students to use technology that meets their learning needs.
